MIHAELA CIRLUGEA

               Mihaela Cîrlugea a absolvit în anul 2008 Universitatea de Artă şi Design Cluj-Napoca, secţia Design Vestimentar, iar în iunie 2010 studiile de Master ale aceleiaşi universităţi.

În aceşti ani, reprezentând UAD, a participat cu colecţii personale sau de grup la diferite ediţii ale Târgurilor "Universitaria" de promovare a Universităţilor din Cluj-Napoca. De asemenea a reuşit în finala unor concursuri ca "Top Styl Designer", prezentat la târgul de modă din Brno - Cehia 2008, "Pasarela" în 2009, concurs de modă organizat la Bucureşti de către Ambasada Franţei, concursul studenţesc anual de modă "Arts of Fashion" din USA, la Philadelphia în 2009 şi San Francisco în 2010.

În cadrul simpozionului "Arts of Fashion", Mihaela Cîrlugea a participat la cursurile "Master Class - Haute Couture" în octombrie 2009 la Philadelphia, având ca şi coordonatori pe Matthieu Blazy, designer la Raf Simons, şi pe Julie Perrin, consultant pe linie de accesorii la Hermes. În decembrie 2010 va participa la cursurile "Master Class - Suprafeţe Textile" în San Francisco, coordonate de către Aurore Thibout, laureată în 2006 a Festivalului de Modă Hyeres, şi Laurence Teillet, fost designer pentru Maison Martin Margiela.

În mai 2010, Mihaela Cîrlugea a fost promovată împreună cu alţi şapte tineri absolvenţi din ţară în cadrul evenimentului organizat de Campari Red Fashion "Recycle Your Passion" prezentat la Idelier Concept Store, prin curtoazia doamnei Silvia Şerban.

Până în prezent a realizat colecţia "Ultrablack" inspirată din picturile negre ale lui Pierre Soulages, unde elementul central a fost prelucrarea suprafeţei materialelor textile; colecţia toamnă-iarnă 2010-2011 "Umbre" cu inspiraţie din tematica socială si grafica germană a începutului de secol XX, colecţie prezentată în aprilie 2010 şi în cadrul evenimentului Cluj Fashion Week; colecţia primăvară-vară 2011 "Dreams", cu ţinute elegante şi tentă retro.

Preocuparea principală a designerului este pentru crearea şi descoperirea de suprafeţe textile inedite prin procedee personale şi tehnici experimentale precum şi explorarea posibilităţilor acestora în spaţiul obiectului vestimentar.

             Mihaela Cîrlugea graduated in 2008 The University of Arts and Design in Cluj-Napoca, the Fashion Design Section and in june 2010 the Fashion Design Master studies of the same university.

In all these years, representing the university UAD, she participated with grup and author collections to the fall editions of the "Universitaria Trades", where universities of Cluj-Napoca were promoted.

Mihaela Cîrlugea was finalist of various contests like: "Top Styl Designer", at the Fashion Trade in Brno- Czech Republic in 2008, "Pasarelle" in 2009, fashion contest organized by the Embassy of France in Bucharest, and the yearly student fashion contest "Arts of Fashion", that was held in 2009 in Philadelphia and in 2010 in San Francisco.

During the "Arts of Fashion Symposium", Mihaela Cîrlugea participated in october 2009 to the "Master Class in Haute Couture" course in Philadelphia, held by Matthieu Blazy, creative designer for Raf Simons, and by Julie Perrin, accesoires consultant for Hermes. In december 2010, she will attend the "Master Classes in Textile Surfaces" in San Francisco, held by Aurore Thibout, winner in 2006 of the Hyeres Fashion Festival, and Laurence Teillet, former designer for Maison Martin Margiela.

In may 2010, Mihaela Cîrlugea was promoted, together with other seven young Romanian designers during the event "Recycle Your Passion" organized by Campari Red Fashion and presented at the Idelier Concept Store, by the courtesy of Miss Silvia Şerban.

So far, the collections realized were "Ultrablack" inspired by the black paintings of Pierre Soulages, where the central element was the textile surfaces processing; the 2010-2011 fall-winter colelction "Shadows" inspired by social and the german graphics of the begin of the XXth century, colelction presented in april 2010 at the first edition of the Cluj Fashion Week; the spring-summer 2011 collection ''Dreams", with retro elegant outfits.

           The main preoccupation of the designer is the creation of novel textile surfaces using personal experimental techniques and exploring those possibilities among the space of the vestimentary object..
